Dear Frankford Elementary Parents:
Exciting things are happening at Frankford Elementary School! The renovation project is now in full swing; however, some minor glitches delayed the project timeline which in turn, will affect the opening of school. Please note: There will be NO Open House at Frankford Elementary on Wednesday, 8/20 as originally planned.
The general outline for the opening of school is as follows:
Open House for students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 will take place on Monday, 8/25 at 8:00 a.m. in the gym.
Parents are invited to attend.
Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1
st
and 2
nd
grades DO NOT report on this day.
It will be a full day of school for students in 3
rd
, 4
th
, and 5
th
grades.
Open House for students in Grades 1 and 2 will take place on Tuesday, 8/26 at 8:00 a.m. in the gym.
Parents are invited to attend.
Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 3
rd
, 4
th
, and 5
th
DO NOT report on this day.
Students in Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 report as usual on Wednesday, 8/27.
Open House for students in Kindergarten will take place on Tuesday, 9/2 at 8:00 in the gym.
Parents are invited to attend.
This will be the first full day of school for students in Kindergarten as originally planned.
The first day of school for students in Pre-K will be Thursday, 9/4 as originally planned.
Pre-K teachers will reach out to families directly during the week of August 25
th
.
PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING OPEN HOUSE DAYS:
Breakfast will be available for students on their Open House day at the usual time (7:15-7:45).
Parents may enter campus anytime after the buses depart (approx. 7:20).
Parking is limited until the new parking lot is complete.
Staff will be on duty to direct you to a parking area.
Once the available parking on campus is full, visitors will be directed to park off campus.
The 8:00 informational sessions in the gym will begin promptly at 8:00.
Please be on time, as there is much to cover.
Parents will walk their student(s) to class following this session for another brief informational session from your child’s teacher(s) before bidding adieu to them for the day.
ONE FINAL NOTE: The phones at the school are not working at this time. It will ring on the caller’s end and you will hear a pre-recorded message, but the phones DO NOT ring inside the school. IF you need to contact me, please message me on Classdojo OR via email at lsking@k12.wv.us
