This Friday, we're celebrating the opening of the Annual Sharing the Gift of Our Talents Student Art Exhibit at the Greenbrier County CVB in downtown Lewisburg. Don't miss the chance to see the two- and three-dimensional art and the impressive digital display of additional works created by GCS middle and high school students! The EGMS Show Choir will add a festive spirit by presenting holiday songs from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The exhibit will be on display from December 1 to February 26. Many thanks to our inspiring art educators, talented students, and the citizens of Greenbrier County for supporting our art programs through the school levy. #ArtMatters and we are honored to partner with the CVB to share the talent of these outstanding students!

After talking about making healthy choices in science, 3rd graders made yogurt parfait with a variety of fruits. They talked about eating in moderation but also remembering that treats are great too! They enjoyed adding sprinkles to their yogurt for a treat.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday the after school program invited families to join the students for a family activity. Families made turkeys and pumpkin pies with their students. It was a fun evening.

Greenbrier County Schools wishes students and families a safe and happy Thanksgiving break. Schools will be closed Monday, November 20, through Friday, November 24. Please remember that Friday, November 17, is a Teacher-Parent Conference Day, and students do not report. Thank you!

GCS is grateful for the wonderful parents, grandparents, guardians, and other caregivers who recognize getting involved in their child's education dramatically increases the chances of academic success. Thank you for playing a vital role in the lives of our schools and students! @nationalparentinvolvementday

Last week we celebrated our Veterans. Veterans were invited to eat lunch and watch an amazing program lead by Mrs. McCoy.

American Education Week is a weeklong celebration of public education and honors those making a difference in ensuring every child receives a quality education.

Pasta! Pasta!

Greenbrier County Schools reminds families that schools will be closed on Friday, November 10, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.

As we celebrate our Veteran's this week, we would also like to honor our military families at Frankford Elementary School. November is Military Family Appreciation Month and this year 3rd grade student, Kristian Byrd helped hang our Purple Star Banner. As a Purple Star school, we are showing our commitment to supporting military children and their families. We love you Kristian and also the Taylor family!
